Entre guerras e ruínas: uma política de memória nas cidades

This paper aims to problematize the urban processes from the way how they make deletion and forgetfulness of lives, bodies, and experiences in Brazilian cities, seeing the emergence of urban narratives policies. For this, we seek from the contributions of authors as Walter Benjamin and Michel Foucault, to think some urban narratives like resistance and emergence of fighting that happens through the constructions of feeling and memory maps able of stress the silence and forgetfulness associated with violence and violations of rights in some cities’ territories. We resort to relates, news, and social media as analytical material to think and to analyze some questions, going up the power of the narratives like a tool that constitutes an urban resistance associated with social memory. We discuss a forgetfulness’ machine which builds vulnerability emerging to the incidence of urban narratives and records of a deadly city for some lives.
